my butt hurts.

i've been working my gleutius maximus especially hard this weekend. i swear i can now feel a bit of a difference. i think my butt has actually gotten a teeny-tiny bit perkier! but unfortunately, i also cannot sit or walk without feeling slight twinges of pain in those muscles. and yes, as i mentioned before, it's all for the sake of having that one girl who i'm smitten with be able to grope at it and feel me up with ease. unfortunately, we're still not at grope phase yet -- but hey, no matter what, at least i can say that i'm getting my butt into grope-worthy shape, right?

:-T

in regards to other things:

i got my hair done today. . .

i've got my outfit ready for tomorrow . . .

i went to the grocery store to buy stuff to make for my lunch this week . . .

and i got all my paperwork done and ready to bring in tomorrow.

am i ready for the first day of work?

you better, you better, you bet!

am i nervous?

no. i just feel ready. it's time -- time to start being a productive member of society, time to start makin' bank, and time to keep walking forward, one high-heeled step at a time. i'm ready to conquer the office!

this past friday was quite a boon for me. i absent-mindedly checked my bank account on-line during that afternoon -- and lo and behold! a miracle!

my tax return had just gotten deposited!!!

i didn't make very much money last year (less than $ 30k). but i was able to take a number of deductions. my genius mom finished doing my taxes for me about a couple of weeks ago -- and she'd calculated a four-digit tax return for me.

O_O

i was elated when she told me. but you can imagine how much more elated i was to actually get the dough. :)

it has made the world of difference for me to actually have money now. people who say that money isn't everything are full of shit. they're the lucky ones who probably have oodles and oodles of money to spare and don't know what it's like to barely scrimp by. i was marveling to myself just today that i already have begun feeling so much better now that i don't have to worry about money. i feel like i'm walking a bit straighter and more confidently, my step is lighter, and that i have nothing to fear anymore.

these past few months, i have not felt this way at all. i've kinda kept myself hidden from the world -- didn't shop too much unless i had to, didn't go out with friends unless i was sure i could afford it. it's been fucking hard -- so i'm just so glad to finally be free of all that!

i'm just feeling so good at the moment. no amount of words can adequately express it. i think this is a fantastic start to my new career tomorrow. i'm not nervous, as i mentioned, about the first day, but i'm keen to get an understanding of what i'll be doing, for one thing -- and i'm also interested in whether my bosses will be good bosses or bad bosses. . . .

what's cool is that my mum is quite proud of me. the way this job opportunity unfolded isn't typical for a bureaucratic job -- as far as she and anyone else in my family knows. but my mom said a few things to me on saturday that touched me. we were talking about my new job and stuff and how it would be a great career step for me because of who i'll be working directly with, what i'll be doing, and how the opportunity came about. i think whether or not i'm a "real" lawyer, she'd feel the same about this job no matter what. and that's what means a lot to me.

guess i should try to go to bed now. it's already almost midnight! i don't feel very tired at all -- it's going to be really hard to wean myself from my usual 3 a.m. bedtime this next week or so . . . . :-T

but yay! i'm going to work!

wish me luck!
