underneath my race number bib is the letter "O." i took off my bib whenever my friends and i took group pictures. all of us wore the same navy-colored top, and each person represented a single letter. and when we all stood side-by-side, we spelled out:
"W E *heart* P O R N ! !"
then on our backs, we wrote out our porn names.
:)
and yeah, that's a nerdy little shoe wallet on my right foot in the second pic. nerdy -- but totally awesome! i got it at the local sports authority just a few days before the race. my ID, bank card, car key, and a small wad of cash fit in there just fine, and velcro straps wrapped around the laces prevent the wallet from falling off. only 7 bucks -- and seriously a great investment.
my laptop is all shitty at the moment. i can only blog from work now. the o.s. on my laptop is microsoft vista. i got it approximately one year ago -- and i've been chronically getting the blue screen of death ever since. LAME. i had taken it in for repairs just before this last bar, and i got it back just in time to be able to download examsoft and use it for the bar. it was totally fine for a while -- until a couple of weeks ago, a trojan horse virus found its way onto the system. . . . i ended up having to reboot the entire system -- but that only seems to have made things worse. . . .
so i'm thinking i'm just going to splurge and get yet another laptop and just junk this one. vista is supposed to have improved and worked out all the glitches that the earlier version had, so i'm hoping that this is the right thing to do. . . . but it makes me wince. the bar exam fee and my student loan payment are already zapping half of my paycheck from last month. . . . but maybe i can wait until next month to get a new laptop . . . .
in the meantime, i just signed up for another race in a couple of weeks. this time, it's all flat terrain, on the black-top, in a part of the capitol city that's kinda on the ghetto side. like, really ghetto. as in, you-don't-want-to-go-there-at-night ghetto. but of course, the place is pretty harmless in the light of day. :)
it's only a 5k, i believe. so i ought to be doing much better than i did with last weekend's 10k. . . .
:-T
what's even better is that the race offers free pancakes to all visitors and participants. free food! i'm totally down with that!
extra butter, please.
:)

Wow! Nice job! Wasn't it hard running with that star on your face? :-P
