frazzled monday

oh lord.

what a monday morning it's been already. my nerves are already tense, and i'm ready to go postal.

:-T

things that made the morning already go awry:

1. i spilt coffee on myself.

i seem to be quite good at that. i hadn't even pulled out of the driveway yet.

2. someone stole my gas pump.

a jerk cut in front of me and took my spot.

3. i got stuck at the gas pump.

at the gas station i went to, there are three rows of three pumps. i used a pump that was in the inside middle. just when i finished and was climbing into my car, i ended up getting trapped between two cars, both of which pulled in at roughly the same time -- one in front and one in back. they both moved in to be bumper-to-bumper with me. there was absolutely no space for me to move or get out.

i was livid. luckily, the guy who had pulled up in front of me so that his bumper was practically kissing my bumper was only buying two dollars worth of gas or something, because he got done pretty fast and started pulling out.

jerk ass.

4. after i left the gas station, i almost got into a car accident.

the gas station i went to is not in an ideal setting. it's very hard to pull into traffic in the direction that i wanted to go in. i got impatient by how long i had to wait to be able to pull into traffic and so i just kinda floored it to get out into traffic.

i doubt that i impeded traffic by all that much. but i was still honked at.

:-T

5. i almost got into a second accident when a van tried to cut me off and get into my lane.

i was in the far right lane of a three-lane road, and he was in the middle lane. bastard didn't even check to see if i was there! he came into my lane without even using a turn signal. i had to slam on the brakes. he saw me at the last minute and then jetted back into his own lane. i sped up so that i could go alongside him, and then i flipped him off and glared at him.

a few seconds later, he sped up until he was parallel with me, then he rolled down his passenger window and called out, "i'm sorry!" i scowled at him and tapped the gas pedal harder so that i could leave him in the dust once more.

6. someone took my parking spot.

i pulled into the parking lot of my office a little later than usual -- and saw a red truck sitting in my usual parking spot.

i tend to park under a plum tree in the first row closest to the office building. it's in the corner of the lot and it offers a nice shade for the afternoons.

bastard!

eh. so i parked right next to it. i guess i don't lose that much shade by parking one spot over from where i usually park. but still! that's my spot!

*sigh*

sheesh. what a morning already.

Leave it to the guy to get a little too close, give you a kiss, pump for a few minutes, then pull out and leave you all alone!
