observation of the day

there was a funky smell in the air when i got up to grab my print job from one of the printers.

 

it hit me as abruptly as if i happened to run into an actual wall.

 

a crease furrowed my brow as i concentrated on trying not to let a look of disgust cross my face.  i made a note to myself to surreptitious spray some of my glade air freshener, with its clean-linen scent, when i got back to my desk.

 

as i returned to my cube after grabbing my print job, i happened to glance over at someone who sat at her own desk.  her cube is about ten feet away from mine.

 

and she was eating a cold hard-boiled egg.

note to self: do not eat hard-boiled eggs while in the proximity of other people.  not that you eat hard-boiled eggs on a normal basis anyway.  but if you do, eat it in the safety of a private setting so that others will not be offended by the smell and end up wondering who the hell had the nerve and the indecency to cut the cheese in such a foul manner.
